Black Hat Middle East and Africa

Black Hat Middle East and Africa

This year, I participated in Black Hat Middle East and Africa for the first time. It was an intriguing and engaging experience for me as I had previously only attended Black Hat events in the United States. However, the most fascinating experience for me was alongside the Black Hat Events

During this event, I got to meet individuals from new factions and organizations. It was my first time traveling to Riyadh, and the experience exceeded my expectations.

Additionally, the excellent and insightful conferences with prominent speakers were a significant part of this experience. The presentations I attended were genuinely inspiring as a cybersecurity professional.

The CTF competition across various age groups was compelling, allowing teams from around the world to compete. There were numerous security challenges and puzzles to solve, ranging from complex decryption to testing knowledge across various domains.

These competitions not only provided a platform for individuals with varying levels of cybersecurity experience to compete but also offered an opportunity to learn from one another. The thrilling moments of competition, team collaboration, and knowledge exchange elevated these competitions beyond mere contests.

As the competitions concluded, everyone returned to their homes with new mementos, fresh connections, and unparalleled experiences. This journey to Black Hat MEA was not just a technical experience but a community-building and educational voyage for all participants.

I hope that next year, this event will be held again in the beautiful city of Riyadh.
